About the event

As AI adoption grows, spend grows with it. Many organisations scale their first AI systems before they decide who owns the budget, how to measure value per request, or which levers control cost.

This tech talk gives you a structured operating model for governing AI expenditure, along with a practical pathway for moving AI systems from pilot to production. Cost discipline sits at the centre of every stage.

We cover:
‍

Ownership, budgeting and governance of AI spend
Unit economics: how to measure cost per request against output quality
The core cost levers: model routing, prompt and context optimisation, caching and batching
How to keep costs predictable as usage and adoption grow
A staged pathway from pilot to production, with cost checkpoints at each stage

Speaker

Pratik Dhanave
Staff Engineer, ClearRoute
